Role Description :

We are seeking an experienced Environment/Release Manager responsible for ensuring the smooth and reliable flow of software delivery through effective release management, environment governance, incident resolution, and cross-functional coordination. Focused on optimizing delivery processes, maintaining platform readiness, managing release dependencies, and enabling successful testing and deployment outcomes.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

1. Delivery Flow Optimization

- Continuously analyze the software delivery lifecycle to identify, prioritize, and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Drive process improvements to ensure efficient and uninterrupted value delivery across the development pipeline.
- Monitor delivery performance metrics and implement actions to reduce process friction and improve throughput.

2. Workplace Management & Availability

- Own the health, availability, and orchestration of development, testing, and staging environments.
- Ensure all delivery platforms are operationally ready to support development, integration, and testing activities.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance windows while minimizing business disruption.
- Maintain environment stability, capacity, and configuration consistency across the software lifecycle.

3. Incident & Problem Management for Deployments

- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of deployment failures, configuration issues, and environment-related incidents.
- Coordinate root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Ensure the reliability and stability of the technical infrastructure supporting software delivery.

4. Release & Integration Management

- Govern the end-to-end progression of release packages across development, testing, staging, and production phases.
- Manage release schedules, deployment readiness, and cross-team dependencies.




- Oversee integration activities and ensure seamless coordination between interconnected applications and services.
- Mitigate risks associated with complex release and deployment activities.

5. Stakeholder Coordination & Process Alignment

- Act as the central point of contact for Release, Incident, Change, and Environment Management activities.
- Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, operations, and support teams to align technical processes and priorities.
- Coordinate with testing teams to ensure the availability of required environments, test data, and configurations for effective validation.
- Facilitate communication, issue resolution, and decision-making across multiple stakeholders.

Key Competencies & Skills required

Must Have:

Experience of handling team as an Environment/Release Manager in a project

Strong knowledge of SDLC, system integration, and testing methodologies (QA testing, UAT, production deployment).

ITIL Foundation or Certified Release Manager (PMP, Scrum Master).

Main Interface with other roles:

- Communication to all stakeholders pertaining to all tasks planned and derived from the system / release planning
- Planning and moderation of meetings between stakeholders in the system planning activities as well as informing on timeframes and conflicts
- Assist the Program/Project/Product Manager and the development team members in planning each release
- Maintain documentation,



ensure compliance with ITIL standards and lead post-release reviews
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in a global environment in hybrid teams

Nice to have

- Experience with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, QA best practices, and branch handling strategies.

Previous Experience & Qualifications

Education/Qualification:

- Computer science, math or business graduate or equivalent practitioner with good IT skills

Knowledge & Experience:

- Good knowledge of project management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid experience working in waterfall and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments
- Experience working in a global environment in hybrid teams
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, QA best practices, and branch handling strategies.
- Experience of handling team as a Release/Environment Manager in a project
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve high-stakes technical issues under tight deadlines
- 8+ years of direct experience in software release management, DevOps, or a senior IT project management role within a complex software development environment
