Role & responsibilities

- Implement process safety management systems, HSE standards, and risk management practices.
- Drive HSE policies, emergency preparedness, health, hygiene, and housekeeping initiatives.
- Conduct HSE audits, safety inspections, and workplace risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and ensure effective implementation of CAPA.
- Monitor safety KPIs, including LTIFR, UA/UC, incident trends, and other HSE performance indicators.
- Ensure statutory compliance and coordinate regulatory inspections and audits.
- Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, induction programs, and safety awareness initiatives.
- Coordinate with client teams, operations, government authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders on HSE matters.
- Maintain HSE MIS, incident records, dashboards, and periodic performance reports.
- Support emergency response planning, fire safety, crisis management, and mock drills.
- Drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental responsibility.




- Promote contractor safety and ensure adherence to established HSE procedures and standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the site HSE team and drive a proactive safety culture.

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate should have:

- 1012 years of overall HSE experience, preferably in the process industry, with preference for non-ferrous metal / smelting operations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the metal industry.
- B.Tech with Post Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS) – Mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of HSE legislation, statutory requirements, safety standards, emergency preparedness, and fire safety.
- Hands-on experience in smelting operations, contractor safety, safety inspections, HSE audits, and incident management.
- Strong understanding of process safety and workplace risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
- Ability to independently manage HSE activities at a large industrial/site operation.
