Amrita School of Artificial Intelligence invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in the interdisciplinary area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Power & Energy Systems, under the supervision of Dr. Rahul Satheesh.
This position is part of the school s thrust area group AI Innovations in Power, Energy, and Electric Vehicles , with a strong emphasis on leveraging data-driven technologies to enhance the resilience, efficiency, and intelligence of future energy infrastructures.
We are particularly looking for candidates who are passionate about integrating machine learning techniques with challenges in power systems, renewable energy, smart grids, and electric mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent and cooperative research on:
- Intelligent energy system control and forecasting
- Data-driven energy system optimization and predictive maintenance
- Grid restoration and resilience under uncertainty
- Detection and mitigation of anomalies or cyber-physical threats
- Develop and validate simulations and prototypes using AI/ML frameworks
- Publish in leading journals and conferences in AI, power systems, and smart energy
- Contribute to grant proposals and assist in mentoring MTech/PhD students
- Engage with industry and academic collaborators for joint research initiatives
