Scope : This Position holds the following roles and responsibilities in the department of Pathology and

Roles and Responsibilities:

To participate in a busy laboratory, which includes high volumes of samples and diagnostic service.

To ensure quality control and quality assurance in day to day testing and reporting.
Evaluating and rendering interpretation and diagnosis for hematology, biochemistry, serology & clinical pathology specimens.
To demonstrate a commitment to providing timely diagnostic information to referring physicians.
To participate in continuous medical education programmers and competency evaluation of lab staff.
To comply with the standards and guidelines of NABL accreditations.




To carry out laboratory operations and implement policies along with document control.
To participate in lab improvement plans.
To supervise the calibration, preventive maintenance of equipment, thermometers, centrifuges and refrigerators.
To monitor inventory control and purchase.
Incorporation and implementation of lab safety standards and procedures.
Conducting internal audits.
Knowledge of obtaining NABL accreditation for lab services.

Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Apart From the above the position holds such responsibilities that are assigned in due course.
