Transition Manager

Role Overview

Lead the design and delivery of large-scale transition programs, across people, data, technology, amongst other operating model aspects, for global Life Sciences clients, with a focus on transition planning, mobilization, governance set up and stabilization. Work closely with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to structure transition approaches, establish program discipline, track progress and support successful execution of complex transitions across business and enabling functions. The role requires the ability to translate client objectives into structured transition plans, facilitate cross-functional collaboration and support delivery across global teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead development of transition strategies, roadmaps and implementation plans aligned to client objectives, timelines and operating model requirements
- Assess transition requirements, dependencies, risks and readiness to help define appropriate transition approaches and execution plans
- Support transition mobilization by establishing governance structures, reporting mechanisms, trackers, templates and ways of working
- Facilitate transition governance forums, working sessions and stakeholder discussions; support preparation of materials, actions and decision logs
- Support knowledge transfer, process documentation, SOP development and service readiness activities to enable smooth transition into the target operating model
- Support cutover, go-live and stabilization planning, including readiness assessments,



issue tracking and post transition action plans
- Ability to identify operational risks and development of mitigation, contingency and business continuity measures
- Analyze transition performance and tracking of KPIs, SLAs, productivity and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities
- Support change adoption and stakeholder engagement activities across geographically distributed teams
- Contribute to process improvement and operating model initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve transition effectiveness, standardization and scalability

Skills & Experience

- 10-15 years of experience in transition management, program / project management, PMO, business transformation or consulting
- Experience supporting large scale transitions approaches, planning, roadmaps, implementation for complex operations
- Solid understanding of transition lifecycle activities, including planning, mobilization, knowledge transfer, readiness, cutover and stabilization
- Experience setting up and supporting PMO and governance structures, including RAID management, action tracking, status reporting and performance dashboards
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across business, operations and enabling functions
- Exposure to R&D;, Commercial, Supply Chain,



Medical Affairs or enterprise functions within Life Sciences / Pharma environments
- Solid structured problem-solving, senior stakeholder management, PMO discipline and transformation delivery capabilities
- Strong experience in structuring and managing large transition teams across geographies and functions

To Qualify

- 10-15 years of relevant experience in transition management, transformation, PMO, program management or management consulting
- Proven experience supporting business / process transitions, shared services or enterprise transformation programs
- Life Sciences / Pharma domain exposure preferred, ideally across R&D;, Commercial, Supply Chain, Medical Affairs or enterprise functions
- Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, governance and change adoption skills across global teams
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or equivalent business qualification preferred

Valuable to Have

- Understanding of GBS / GCC setup, global delivery models or distributed transformation teams
- Exposure to Life Sciences / Pharma processes and operating models
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, analytics, automation, reporting and digital transformation tools
- PMO / PRINCE2 / Agile / Scrum / Lean six sigma or other relevant certifications
- Experience with process re-engineering, continuous improvement and operating model design
- Understanding of business continuity, service resilience and contingency planning
- Experience supporting transition initiatives across functions such as Supply Chain, R&D;, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, HR or IT
