Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join the team developing our in house product, Arena Platform. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Arena services using Java, Spring ecosystem and Angular. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot, while also contributing to frontend development using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to deliver high quality, secure, and maintainable solutions in an Agile environment.

Roles Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Implement and optimize data persistence using JPA/Hibernate with MySQL.
- Design and manage integrations with Elasticsearch for object storage and search capabilities.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs consumed by frontend applications.
- Build and enhance frontend features using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Manage frontend dependencies and builds using Yarn and Node-based build tools.
- Translate business and functional requirements into end-to-end technical solutions.
- Perform impact analysis, conduct code reviews, and provide mentoring to junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve functional, performance, and production issues across UI and backend layers.
- Ensure application quality, performance, and reliability through testing and refactoring.
- Work with Gradle and Podman for backend builds and container packaging.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and deployment automation using Ansible.
- Ensure compliance with code quality and security.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps,



and Product teams for feature delivery and release planning.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimations, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Technical Requirement

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of experience in full stack software development.
- Robust hands-on experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot and Angular.
- Solid knowledge of JPA/Hibernate, ORM concepts, and relational databases (MySQL).
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Hands-on or working experience with Elasticsearch.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Linux-based environments.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience in working with project management tools like Rally, Service-now
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Additional Responsibility

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Familiarity with Python and Scala.
- Familiarity with Big Data Spark.
- Experience with containerization using Podman or Docker.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitLab CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of Ansible or infrastructure automation tools.
- Experience deploying or supporting applications on AWS, especially EC2.
- Awareness of UI/UX best practices and frontend performance optimization.

Education

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
