Shri Lakshmi Steel Suppliers is a leading steel distribution and manufacturing company with over 500 employees and operations across South India. We seek an experienced Manager HR & Compliance to independently manage HR operations, employee development, statutory compliance, payroll administration, and employee relations across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations: Oversee employee records, attendance, leave, onboarding, exits, and day-to-day HR activities.
2. Performance Appraisals: Manage evaluations, increments, performance improvement plans, and appraisal processes.
3. Employee Engagement & Team Building: Organise engagement, team-building, recognition, and retention initiatives.
4. Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, gratuity, bonus, and applicable labour laws.
5. Payroll & Benefits: Supervise payroll, statutory deductions, employee benefits, and timely filings.
6. Contract Labour Compliance: Verify contractor PF/ESI challans, employee-wise contributions, wage records, and statutory payments.
7. Employee Relations: Address grievances, disciplinary matters, workplace issues, and HR policy implementation.
8. HR Policies & Systems: Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs,
and HRMS processes.
9. Audits & Multi-State Compliance: Conduct internal audits and oversee compliance across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.
10. Management Reporting: Maintain HR dashboards, manpower reports, compliance trackers, and performance records.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 10–15 years of experience in HR operations, statutory compliance, payroll, and employee relations.
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related qualification preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, steel, engineering, or industrial organisations.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, EPF, ESI, payroll, and contract labour compliance.
- Proven experience in appraisals, employee engagement, and team development.
- Solid interpersonal, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, HRMS, and payroll systems; able to manage HR across multiple locations.
- Willingness to travel to branches and operational units.
- Male candidates preferred; age preferably below 45 years.
Compensation: 8–10 LPA, depending on experience and suitability.
