Tasks:
- Development and design of components for drive and steering axles (including subassemblies) based on technical specifications and existing designs in close cooperation with the system engineer. Considering the reuse of parts to create an optimized modular system.
- Autonomous development and design of individual parts (like gears, cast housings, weldments, shafts) and assemblies by considering optimal manufacturing processes, reusing raw parts and respecting the target costs and timeframe.
- Support the system engineer in the concept phase by creating first 3D models to visualize concept ideas
- Perform a tolerance analysis according to an available master sheet
- Perform kinematic clash analysis to ensure the correct function of a multi-body system.
- Create and update 3D CAD models (CATIA V6), assemblies, technical 2D drawings and bills of materials (eBOM).
- ECRM release of parts and assemblies (from the ECO request to the released ECO)
- Release of standard parts and coordination of the related steps with the standards department and suppliers
- Technical discussion concerning the designed parts & assemblies with other CLAAS departments (purchasing, IE, quality)
and external suppliers
- Creation of BOMs for validation and early sample stages and starting the sourcing process in SAP by creating CMCs
- Support the design of test bench runs by creating 3D concepts in close cooperation with validation and system engineer
- Support different kinds of data analysis out of bench- and field-testing
