We are seeking an experienced Repair & Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee all maintenance activities for a poultry processing facility, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Role & responsibilities

- Lead and manage plant-wide maintenance operations, including mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
- Ensure maximum uptime of chicken processing lines, including equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all processing and utility equipment.
- Handle breakdown maintenance of processing line equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and conducting root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrence.
- Manage maintenance of cold chain systems, including compressors, blast freezers, chillers, and cold storage facilities.
- Ensure proper sanitation-friendly maintenance practices aligned with food safety (HACCP, FSSAI) requirements.
- Maintain and monitor critical spares inventory for processing line equipment and utilities.
- Plan and execute annual shutdowns and maintenance schedules in coordination with production.




- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, food safety standards, and EHS requirements.
- Lead, train, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring strong technical capability and safety awareness.
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for specialized equipment servicing and AMC management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as reliability enhancement, energy efficiency, and cost optimization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
- 1015 years of experience in maintenance within poultry/food manufacturing industries.
- Minimum 8 years in a managerial or lead maintenance role.
- Solid hands-on experience with chicken processing equipment and refrigeration systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems, maintenance planning tools, HACCP, and regulatory compliance. Industry Experience: Food, Consumer Health, Poultry - project experience preferred; experience in cold storage or related fields advantageous.
