HVAC Design Engineer Job Description

Position: HVAC Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare HVAC system designs for commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
- Develop HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, piping layouts, and equipment layouts.
- Perform heat load calculations and equipment selection.
- Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD / Revit MEP.
- Design chilled water, VRF/VRV, and other HVAC systems as per project requirements.
- Prepare BOQ, equipment schedules, and material specifications.
- Coordinate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams.
- Review drawings and ensure compliance with applicable standards and project specifications.
- Support site teams with technical clarifications and design modifications.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and project teams when required.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and engineering.
- Hands-on experience in AutoCAD / Revit MEP.
- Knowledge of heat load calculations, duct sizing, piping, and equipment selection.
- Good understanding of HVAC standards and MEP coordination.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
