Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Application Support Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in both Ab Initio Development and Production Support. The ideal candidate should have solid expertise in ETL development, job monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and performance optimization in a production environment.

Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio.
- Provide L2/L3 production support for business-critical data integration applications.
- Monitor daily batch jobs and ensure successful execution within SLA timelines.
- Analyze application failures, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Work with business users, developers, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues.
- Support application releases, deployments, and code migrations across environments.
- Develop shell scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Optimize ETL jobs for performance and scalability.




- Participate in on-call support and weekend deployment activities as required.
- Maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repository.

Technical Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience in Ab Initio Development and Application Support.
- Ab Initio GDE (Graphical Development Environment)
- Co>Operating System
- EME (Enterprise Meta Environment)
- Conduct>IT
- Strong SQL and database skills (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.)
- Experience with Unix/Linux commands and Shell Scripting.
- Knowledge of ETL, Data Warehousing, and Data Migration concepts.
- Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
- Exposure to job scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or similar.
- Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot production issues efficiently.
