The Environment Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining environmental management systems and ensuring compliance with applicable environmental laws, statutory requirements and organizational standards. The role involves monitoring environmental performance, coordinating statutory compliance, maintaining environmental records and supporting various environmental initiatives across the plant.
The position will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring effective operation of environmental management systems including ETP, STP, RO/ZLD systems, air pollution control systems, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management and online continuous emission/effluent monitoring systems (OCEMS).
The Workplace Officer will coordinate with regulatory authorities,
consultants and internal departments for environmental approvals, consents, Environmental Clearance (EC), Consent to Establish (CTE), Consent to Operate/CCA, statutory returns, inspections and compliance requirements. The role also includes conducting environmental inspections, identifying gaps, implementing corrective actions and promoting continual improvement in environmental performance.
The position will support environmental monitoring, sustainability initiatives, ESG/BRSR requirements, resource conservation, pollution prevention and awareness programs to strengthen the organization's overall environmental performance and compliance culture.
