We are looking for a commercially oriented finance skilled to own the end-to-end financial management of RCPL's F&V; and Frozen category. This is a category-finance role - not a pure accounting seat - requiring someone who can build and own the P&L;, drive COGS optimisation, manage pricing and scheme economics, and act as the financial partner to the business. The role covers MIS and performance reporting, credit-limit governance, customer and channel profitability, logistics and warehousing finance, and claims management, while supervising the transactional finance team.

Role & responsibilities

P&L; Ownership & MIS

- Own the weekly and monthly category P&L; for F&V; and Frozen - prepare variance analysis against plan/model, and drive corrective actions.
- Build and maintain the daily cost-sheet framework: buying price, realised spread, shrink/rejects, logistics cost per kg; set the cadence for the daily morning review.
- Prepare management dashboards and periodic MIS packs for the Business Head, CFO, and Group COO reviews.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the category.

COGS Optimisation & Pricing

- Analyse and optimise the value chain - farmer buying price, packing-centre costs, shrinkage, transport, cold-chain, and mandi commissions - to improve category margins.
- Support pricing decisions: validate the approved buying and selling price spread, model scheme/discount economics, and flag margin erosion.




- Track and reconcile incentive and scheme claims; ensure timely settlement.

Credit Management & Customer Profitability

- Own the credit-limit framework for mandi agents / customers: set and review limits (in coordination with the Business Head), monitor agent ageing and default risk, and recommend credit holds.
- Build customer and channel profitability views by agent, by mandi, by route to support commercial decisions.
- Manage bad-debt provisioning and write-off recommendations.

Logistics, Warehousing & Vendor Finance

- Oversee logistics and cold-chain cost tracking; reconcile vendor payments against contracted rates and actual volumes.
- Review and approve vendor payment runs (transport, labour, rent, HVAC, 3PL); ensure PO-receipt-invoice match and TDS compliance.
- Support packing-centre capex tracking, asset verification, and cost-centre reporting.

Team Supervision & Controls

- Supervise the Finance Executive(s) handling daily transactional operations (payments, reconciliations, invoicing support).
- Ensure a maker-checker discipline on all critical transactions the team prepares, this role reviews and approves.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal/external audits.

Qualifications

- CA or CMA qualification with 3-7 years of relevant experience in F&V;/Frozen/FMCG preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP is the must.
