- Request and Change Management
- Implement approved configuration changes in Jira / Confluence / Bitbucket / GitLab (projects, workflows, issue types, fields, boards, permissions, automations).
- Configure and maintain Atlassian plugins/apps (Structure, BigPicture, Xray, Automation for Jira) and provide usage guidance.
- Execute team requests for dashboards, reports, test management setups, and portfolio planning.
- Track and document changes via ITIL-compliant processes and maintain configuration baselines.

- User Support and Troubleshooting

- Resolve L1 escalations; diagnose and remediate L2 issues including:
- IDE setup problems (IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code), plugin conflicts, path/config misalignments.
- Access/permission issues across Atlassian, GitLab, Artifactory, and repositories.
- Pipeline build failures (GitLab CI): runners, resource quotas, variables/secrets, caching, job concurrency.
- Artifact resolution problems (Artifactory, Maven/Gradle/npm, Docker registries): repository URLs, credentials, proxy, checksum mismatches.

- Provide pointers, best practices, and self-help guides for users and teams.

- Tool Administration and Licensing

- Create and manage user accounts, groups, roles, and permissions across Atlassian, GitLab, Artifactory, and related services following least-privilege principles.
- Assign and reconcile licenses; optimize seat usage; manage app subscriptions and renewals.
- Maintain authoritative inventories of projects, spaces, repos, runners, registries, and environments.

- DevOps Platform Operations

- Administer GitLab (projects, groups, runners, variables), Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Docker registries.
- Support CI/CD pipelines: template maintenance, shared libraries, environment variables, secrets management, and runner scaling.
- Manage integrations and webhooks among tools (Jira GitLab/Bitbucket, Xray CI, Artifactory builds).
- Perform OS and application patching/updates (e.g., GitLab monthly updates) with rollback plans; validate post-change functionality.

- Packaging and Distribution

- Perform/manage software packaging and distribution for developer tools (Git, JetBrains IDEs, VSCode, Docker Desktop/CLI, plugins).

- Collaborate with endpoint management teams (SCCM/Intune/Jamf) to push packages and enforce versions.
- Maintain internal catalogs and installation guides.

- Monitoring, Reliability, and Performance

- Configure and maintain monitoring/alerting for service health, job failures, runner availability, artifact repository capacity, license utilization, and API error rates.
- Implement dashboards in Splunk/ELK/Grafana or tool-native monitors; set up notification channels.
- Tune pipeline concurrency, caching, and retention policies to balance speed, cost, and reliability.

- Security, Compliance, and Auditing

- Enforce secure configuration baselines: SSO/MFA for admin access, strong permissions, protected branches, code owners, required reviews.
- Manage tokens, SSH keys, and service accounts; rotate secrets; integrate with Vault/KMS where applicable.
- Maintain audit trails and integrate tools with SIEM; support security audits and remediate findings.
- Ensure dependency and artifact policies (e.g., blocking unknown registries, vulnerability scanning integrations).

- Documentation and Enablement

- Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, playbooks, architecture/topology diagrams, admin guides, and user tutorials.
- Publish best practices for workflows, branching strategies, test management (Xray), planning (Structure/BigPicture), and pipeline patterns.
- Automate routine tasks (provisioning, project setup, runner registration, license audits) via scripts and APIs.

- On-Call Support

- Provide after-hours/on-call support and participate in planned maintenance windows and weekend work as required.
