Role & responsibilities

- Lead maintenance activities for foundry equipment, including induction/arc furnaces, moulding & core-making machines, shot blasting, compressors, EOT cranes, hydraulic/pneumatic systems and material-handling equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum machine availability and minimum downtime.
- Handle electrical & mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
- Prepare and monitor PM schedules, maintenance KPIs, spare-parts planning and maintenance budgets; control maintenance costs and CAPEX.
- Lead the maintenance team, allocate manpower, monitor performance and ensure adherence to safety, 5S and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores and Engineering teams to ensure smooth foundry operations.
- Manage AMC/vendor coordination, spare procurement and installation/commissioning of recent equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement, energy-saving initiatives, MTBF/MTTR improvement and machine reliability across the foundry.
