Job Summary

Serve as a Functional Lead specializing in Generative AI enabled SAP transportation and warehouse solutions driving high quality designs and deployments for global industrial manufacturing clients in a hybrid work model. Apply deep expertise in SAP TM analytics subcontracting tendering freight cost management settlement and EWM integration while ensuring strong focus on production planning control and health and safety compliance across day shift operations.

Responsibilities

- Drive end to end functional design of SAP TM solutions that optimize multimodal transportation planning and execution for industrial manufacturing operations while aligning with business targets for cost service and sustainability.
- Coordinate detailed transportation planning processes using SAP TM transportation planning capabilities to balance resource utilization service level adherence and on time delivery commitments across complex supply networks.
- Define and configure SAP TM analytics models that transform transportation and logistics data into actionable insights for decision makers focusing on carrier performance freight spend trends and lane optimization.
- Integrate SAP TM with SAP EWM to enable seamless warehouse and transportation collaboration including shipping cockpit processes loading activities and handover points between warehouse and carriers.
- Manage subcontracting and tendering scenarios in SAP TM by configuring carrier selection rules spot tendering strategies and allocation mechanisms that support flexible and resilient transport capacity.
- Configure and validate freight cost management and settlement processes in SAP TM ensuring accurate charge calculation agreement maintenance general ledger integration and compliance with internal financial controls.
- Apply generative AI approaches to enhance logistics process design including automated scenario evaluation documentation generation test case drafting and issue pattern analysis to accelerate project delivery.




- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders in production planning procurement warehousing and finance to translate business requirements into robust SAP TM and EWM integration designs that reduce manual effort and errors.
- Ensure that transportation and logistics processes configured in SAP TM respect health and safety standards by incorporating compliance checks handling constraints and regulatory considerations into everyday workflows.
- Conduct system testing defect triage and cutover activities for SAP TM and related integrations while documenting outcomes clearly and proposing pragmatic resolutions that protect business continuity.
- Provide detailed process and system knowledge transfer to business users through structured walkthroughs job aids and workshop style sessions that build confidence in new transportation planning and freight settlement solutions.
- Monitor production issues in day shift operations related to transportation planning freight cost calculation or EWM integration and coordinate timely resolution to protect customer service and production schedules.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing live logistics performance data and proposing SAP TM configuration or process adjustments that drive measurable gains in cost efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications

- Demonstrate robust experience with SAP TM transportation planning including planning strategies optimizer usage and collaboration scenarios for at least one large industrial manufacturing client.




- Bring hands on expertise in SAP TM subcontracting and tendering including carrier collaboration portals allocation rules and tendering workflows tailored to complex logistics networks.
- Show proven proficiency in SAP TM freight cost management and settlement encompassing agreement structures calculation sheets condition types and integration to finance modules.
- Possess solid experience in SAP TM analytics with the ability to design key performance indicators reports and dashboards that support strategic and operational transport decisions.
- Exhibit practical experience in integrating SAP TM with SAP EWM and related logistics components covering master data dependencies message flows and end to end functional testing.
- Apply working knowledge of generative AI concepts and tools to support documentation analysis testing support and conceptual solutioning in the transportation and warehouse domain.
- Offer strong domain expertise in production planning and control for industrial manufacturing with an understanding of how production schedules dependencies and constraints impact transport and warehouse needs.
- Maintain clear awareness of environmental health and safety principles and regulations ensuring that logistics and transportation process designs enable safe operations and regulatory compliance.
- Have between eight and twelve years of relevant professional experience across SAP TM solution design implementation support and improvement within hybrid work environments.
- Communicate complex functional topics in a concise and inclusive manner to stakeholders at different levels while fostering a cooperative and outcome focused project culture.
- Display strong analytical and problem solving abilities to investigate process or system issues propose feasible options and guide stakeholders toward sustainable solutions.
