About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect Techno-Functional ORMB with strong expertise in Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB), particularly in Product Catalogue, Billing, Pricing, Rating, Revenue Management, and end-to-end solution architecture.

The candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable ORMB solutions, defining functional and technical architecture, guiding development teams, and ensuring successful implementation and integration with upstream and downstream enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with ORMB Product Catalogue / Product Configuration, including product setup, pricing, eligibility, rules, rate components, billing processes, and integration with surrounding systems

Role & responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture

Define end-to-end ORMB solution architecture based on business and functional requirements.

Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable ORMB solutions.

Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.

Define application components, interfaces, integration patterns, data flows, and dependencies.

Provide technical and functional leadership to ORMB development and implementation teams.

Review proposed solutions and ensure alignment with enterprise

architecture and standards.

Identify technical risks, dependencies, performance considerations, and integration challenges.

2. ORMB Techno-Functional Expertise

. Strong understanding of Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) architecture and functional capabilities.

Hands-on experience across ORMB modules and business processes.

Configure and design solutions around:

Customer / Account Management

Product Catalogue

Product Configuration

Pricing & Rate Plans

Rating

Billing

Invoicing

Payments

Adjustments

Credit & Collections

Revenue Management

Financial Transactions

General Ledger / GL Integration

3. Product Catalogue Expertise Mandatory

Strong hands-on experience with ORMB Product Catalogue and product modelling.

Design and configure complex products, services, and offerings.

Analyse existing product catalogues and recommend optimization opportunities.

Support business teams in translating commercial offerings into ORMB product and pricing configurations.

Ensure product catalogue design supports downstream billing, rating, invoicing, and revenue processes.

4. Business Analysis & Functional Responsibilities

Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and SMEs.

Conduct requirements workshops and understand business processes.

Convert business requirements into ORMB functional specifications.

Prepare functional design documents and solution blueprints.

Perform As-Is / To-Be analysis and identify functional gaps.

Define appropriate ORMB configurations versus custom development.

Support estimation, planning, and solution feasibility assessments.

Provide functional guidance during SIT, UAT, production deployment, and post-production support.

5. Integration & Technical Architecture

Experience designing integrations between ORMB and enterprise applications such as:

CRM / Customer Management Systems

ERP / Financial Systems

Payment Gateways

Banking Systems

Rating / Mediation Platforms

Collections Systems

Data Warehouses

Reporting Platforms

APIs / Microservices

Middleware / ESB platforms

Oracle databases and enterprise applications

6. Technical Leadership

Lead ORMB technical and functional teams.

Conduct design and code reviews.

Provide technical guidance to developers and consultants.

Define development standards and reusable solution components.

Support performance tuning and production issue resolution.

Conduct technical impact analysis for change requests.

Mentor junior and senior ORMB consultants.

Coordinate with architecture, infrastructure, security, integration, and DevOps teams.

7. Implementation & Support

Participate in end-to-end ORMB implementation and transformation projects.

Support ORMB upgrades, enhancements, migrations, and modernization initiatives.





Provide production support for critical billing and revenue processes.

Analyse production defects and provide root-cause analysis.

Support deployment, release management, and cutover activities.

Ensure solution stability, scalability, security, and maintainability.

Mandatory Skills

10–15+ years of overall IT experience

Strong Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) experience.

Strong Techno-Functional ORMB expertise.

Mandatory Product Catalogue / Product Configuration experience.

Robust understanding of Billing and Revenue Management processes.

Experience in pricing, rating, charges, discounts, and product modelling.

Experience in ORMB solution design and architecture.

Strong integration/API experience.

Good knowledge of SQL and Oracle database technologies.

Experience in requirement analysis, functional design, technical design, and implementation.

Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

Oracle Utilities ecosystem experience.

Experience with CC&B; / C2M / MDM.

Experience integrating ORMB with Oracle ERP / Financials.

Experience with Oracle Cloud / OCI.

Experience with enterprise integration and middleware platforms.

Experience in large-scale billing transformation programs.

Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Telecom, Utilities, or other high-volume billing environments.

Agile / Scrum delivery experience.

Experience working with distributed global teams.

The ideal candidate should be a strong ORMB Techno-Functional Architect who can work across both business and technology teams. The candidate must be capable of understanding complex commercial products and translating them into ORMB Product Catalogue, Pricing, Rating, Billing, and Revenue
Management configurations.

Strong stakeholder management, architectural thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead ORMB implementation teams are essential.
