Role Summary:The Lead EUC Architect provides strategic direction, design standards, and engineering assurance for the global Workplace Services setting. Unlike traditional infrastructure roles, 60% of this role is dedicated to Digital Employee Experience (DEX), proactive enhancements, and workplace transformation. The Architect will lead initiatives to optimize endpoint performance, drive self-healing automation, and improve the overall end-user experience across normal, secure, and laboratory environments. The remaining 40% focuses on architectural governance and cross-tower integration across VDI (AVD/AWS), Contemporary Endpoint Management (Intune), SCCM, and Endpoint Security. .

Key Responsibilities (60%): Digital Employee Experience (DEX) & Workplace Enhancements

This portion of the role focuses on endpoint user experience, continuous improvement, and the execution of enterprise enhancements driven by the Transformation POD.

- DEX Strategy & Analytics: Monitor and optimize endpoint performance, application experience, login behavior, and device health using DEX telemetry. Analyze data to identify recurring user-impacting issues, degradation patterns, and opportunities for experience improvement.
- Proactive Remediation & Self-Healing: Design and deploy automated, proactive remediation actions based on device health indicators and known issue patterns (e.g.,



automated cache cleanup, dynamic disk expansion, and automated BitLocker key verification).
- Shift-Left & Automation Engineering: Drive "shift-left" initiatives by developing PowerShell/Python scripts, workflow automation, and orchestration to move complex L2/L3 remediation tasks to L1 or self-service channels.
- Continuous Service Improvement (CSI): Maintain and prioritize a transformation backlog aimed at ticket reduction, reliability, and user experience. Work closely with business units to understand their needs and translate them into measurable performance baselines.
- Enhancement & Transformation Delivery: Lead the architectural design and rollout of "self-driven" WPS enhancements, such as transitioning workloads to co-management, enabling AI-assisted operations, and driving endpoint modernization.

Key Responsibilities (40%): Core Technical Towers (VDI, Intune, SCCM, Endpoint Security)

This portion of the role ensures the foundational workplace infrastructure remains scalable, secure, and compliant.

- Cross-Tower Architectural Governance: Define the strategic direction and target-state architecture across all four core towers: Modern Workplace (Intune), Virtual Desktop Services (AVD/AWS WorkSpaces), Legacy Management (SCCM/MECM), and Workplace Security.
- Security & Compliance Assurance:



Govern technical decisions regarding endpoint hardening (CIS/NIST baselines), vulnerability remediation workflows, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) integrations, and EDR/XDR (CrowdStrike) deployments deep within the OS kernel.
- Platform Lifecycle & Golden Image Strategy: Oversee the global OS lifecycle and Golden Image pipeline (via Azure DevOps/Packer), ensuring images and driver packages are optimized for VDI host pools, manufacturing fab sites, and air-gapped secure enclaves.
- Complex Escalation & Integration: Act as the ultimate technical authority for cross-tower integrations and complex L3 troubleshooting, breaking down silos between Workplace, Network, Proxy, and Identity (Entra ID) teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience in DEX & Automation: Proven experience utilizing DEX platforms, advanced PowerShell/Python scripting, Microsoft Graph API, and workflow automation to drive proactive remediation and self-healing endpoints.
- Deep EUC Architectural Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), AWS WorkSpaces, and FSLogix profile management.
- Security Acumen: Strong background in endpoint security configuration, vulnerability management, and integrating tools like CrowdStrike, BitLocker, and DLP solutions within strict compliance boundaries.
- Enterprise Agility: Experience operating within complex, highly segmented global environments, including "China Secure", manufacturing cleanrooms, and Restricted Secure labs.
- Stakeholder Diplomacy: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage relationships across highly distributed teams (Infrastructure, Security, Applications), ensuring that transformation initiatives do not occur in silos.
