Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and academically accomplished Professor &Associate Professor ENT to join the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at GEIMS. The candidate will be responsible for clinical services, teaching and training of undergraduate/postgraduate students, academic activities, research, and departmental development in accordance with applicable NMC norms. The current NMC faculty regulations specify M.S./DNB in Otorhinolaryngology as the academic qualification for faculty in ENT.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive clinical care and consultation for ENT patients.
- Perform and supervise ENT procedures and surgeries.
- Manage emergency ENT cases and provide appropriate clinical intervention.
- Teach and mentor MBBS and postgraduate students/residents.
- Conduct lectures, tutorials, demonstrations, seminars and clinical case discussions.
- Supervise clinical postings, bedside teaching and practical training.
- Participate in departmental academic meetings and institutional activities.
- Guide residents in clinical decision-making, diagnosis and treatment planning.




- Participate in research projects, publications, conferences and CME activities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety and hospital protocols.
- Participate in departmental administrative responsibilities and NMC-related academic activities.
- Collaborate with other specialties for multidisciplinary patient management.

Eligibility

- MBBS from an NMC-recognized institution.
- M.S./DNB in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) from an NMC/NBEMS-recognized institution, as applicable.
- Teaching experience and other requirements should comply with the NMC Medical Institutions (Qualification of Faculty) Regulations, 2025.
- Valid medical registration with the appropriate Medical Council/NMC as applicable.
- Research publications and Basic Course in Biomedical Research requirements, where applicable under the current NMC faculty regulations.
