About the Role

BAMC Medical Limited is looking for an experienced Medical Electronics & High-Voltage / Power Engineer to join our R&D; and product development team.

The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, troubleshooting and improvement of electronic and power systems used in medical equipment. The role requires solid practical knowledge of electronics, SMPS/power supplies, high-voltage circuits, PCB design, electrical safety and medical-device requirements.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working hands-on with prototypes, circuit boards, test equipment and medical equipment, and should be able to take a design from concept through prototype, testing and production.

Key Responsibilities1. Medical Electronics Design

- Design and develop electronic circuits for medical equipment.
- Work on analog, digital and mixed-signal electronics.
- Design interfaces between sensors, microcontrollers, displays, communication modules and power systems.
- Develop and troubleshoot PCB-based electronic systems.
- Review schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs and component selections.
- Support hardware integration with embedded software and mechanical systems.

2. Power Electronics

- Design and troubleshoot AC-DC and DC-DC power supply systems.
- Work with SMPS, regulators, converters, battery charging and battery-management systems.
- Design power distribution systems for medical equipment.
- Analyze power consumption, efficiency, thermal performance and reliability.
- Select appropriate transformers, inductors, MOSFETs, IGBTs, diodes, capacitors and protection components.

3. High-Voltage Engineering

- Develop and troubleshoot high-voltage circuits and power supplies where required.
- Experience with high-voltage isolation, insulation, creepage and clearance.
- Work with high-voltage transformers, rectifiers, capacitors and protection circuits.
- Perform high-voltage and insulation testing safely.
- Troubleshoot electrical leakage, insulation failure, arcing and EMI/EMC-related problems.

Experience with X-ray generators, defibrillators, electrosurgical equipment, anesthesia systems,



ventilators or other high-voltage medical equipment will be an advantage.

4. Medical Device Safety & Compliance

- Understand electrical safety requirements for medical electrical equipment.
- Work with requirements related to IEC 60601-1 and applicable collateral/particular standards.
- Support leakage current, dielectric strength/Hi-Pot, earth continuity and insulation testing.
- Support EMC/EMI testing and troubleshooting.
- Prepare technical documentation required for product certification and regulatory submissions.
- Work closely with QA/RA teams during certification and compliance testing.

5. R&D; and Product Development

- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept circuits.
- Conduct laboratory testing and validation.
- Identify root causes of hardware failures and implement corrective actions.
- Improve existing products for reliability, cost, manufacturability and performance.
- Work with Chinese and international technology suppliers for technical evaluation and integration.
- Evaluate supplier schematics, PCB designs, technical files and component specifications.
- Support transfer of R&D; designs into mass production.

6. Production & Manufacturing Support

- Provide engineering support to production and assembly teams.
- Develop testing procedures and test fixtures.
- Analyze field failures and production defects.
- Support incoming inspection and component qualification.
- Assist in establishing calibration and preventive-maintenance requirements for electronic test equipment.

- Electronic load and power analyzer
- LCR meter
- Function/signal generator
- Isolation transformer




- High-voltage test equipment

Medical Equipment Experience – Preferred

Experience with any of the following will be highly preferred:

- Patient Monitor
- ECG / ECG Machine
- Defibrillator
- Anesthesia Machine
- Ventilator
- BiPAP / CPAP
- Syringe / Infusion Pump
- X-Ray / X-Ray Generator
- Baby Warmer / Neonatal Equipment
- Electrosurgical Unit
- ICU / Critical Care Equipment
- Other IEC 60601 medical electrical equipment

Educational Qualification

Mandatory:

- B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or related discipline.

Preferred:

- M.Tech / M.E. in Power Electronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related specialization.

Experience

3–8 years of relevant experience in electronics, power electronics, medical equipment or industrial electronics.

Candidates with strong hands-on experience in high-voltage power supplies and medical electronics may be considered even if their experience is outside the medical-device industry.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

- Has strong hands-on electronics troubleshooting ability.
- Can read and understand circuit schematics.
- Can independently identify hardware faults.
- Understands power supply and high-voltage design.
- Has experience with laboratory testing equipment.
- Can work closely with embedded software, mechanical and production teams.
- Is comfortable developing prototypes and testing new designs.
- Can communicate technically with overseas suppliers.
- Has a practical, problem-solving approach rather than only theoretical knowledge.
- Understands the importance of electrical safety when working with medical equipment.

Salary

₹6–15 LPA, depending on experience, technical capability and relevant medical-device/high-voltage expertise.

Higher compensation can be considered for exceptional candidates with strong experience in medical-device power electronics, X-ray/high-voltage systems or IEC 60601 compliance.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
