About the Role

We are looking for a confident, friendly and customer-focused Overseas Education & Visa Counsellor to join our consultancy team. The candidate will be responsible for speaking with students and customers interested in studying or working abroad, understanding their requirements, explaining suitable opportunities and guiding them through the education, visa and work-permit processes. Key Responsibilities Contact students/customers who enquire about overseas education and work opportunities. Understand the customer’s academic background, career goals, preferred country, course and budget. Explain available study-abroad opportunities, courses and universities based on the customer’s profile. Explain the admission and application procedure. Provide information about student visa requirements, documentation and application procedures. Handle enquiries related to work permits and overseas work opportunities offered by the company. Clarify customer doubts regarding eligibility, documentation, application procedures and timelines. Follow up with prospective students/customers through phone calls and WhatsApp. Maintain accurate records of leads, customer requirements and follow-ups. Coordinate with the documentation, admissions and visa-processing teams. Keep customers updated regarding their application progress. Build and maintain strong relationships with students and customers. Follow up regularly with interested customers and assist them throughout the process. Achieve assigned counselling and application targets, where applicable.

Requirements





- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Confident and comfortable speaking with customers over the phone.
- Good listening and counselling skills.
- Ability to explain procedures clearly and patiently.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Willingness to learn about overseas education, student visas and work permits.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will be preferred:

- Study abroad counselling
- Overseas education consultancy
- Student visa counselling
- Immigration consultancy
- Customer relationship management
- Telecalling / inside sales
- Admissions counselling

Freshers with excellent communication skills and a strong interest in overseas education may also apply.

Countries

The role may involve enquiries related to destinations such as the UK, Canada, USA, Australia and European countries, depending on the services offered by the company.
