DATA PRIVACY SPECIALIST

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Privacy Specialist to support and enhance our privacy and compliance program. The role involves working with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance with global data protection regulations and implement privacy best practices across business processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Handle client discussions including requirements gathering, solutioning, service delivery, and advisory.
- Manage GRC and data privacy projects from planning through execution and delivery.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data privacy policies, procedures, frameworks, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA, HIPAA, and other applicable privacy regulations.
- Identify, assess, and manage privacy risks associated with personal data processing.
- Conduct/support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk assessments.
- Maintain privacy risk registers and support remediation activities.
- Support Data Subject Rights Requests (DSRs), including access, deletion, correction, and portability.
- Maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).
- Support personal data breach investigations, documentation, and regulatory notification processes.
- Assist with cross-border data transfer assessments and privacy safeguards.
- Support privacy audits, assessments, and ISO/IEC 27701-related activities.
- Track audit findings, compliance gaps, and remediation actions.




- Develop privacy metrics, dashboards, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with Legal, IT, HR, Product, Security, and other stakeholders.
- Support privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default initiatives.
- Conduct privacy awareness and training activities.
- Stay updated on evolving privacy regulations, regulatory guidance, and industry trends.

KEY SKILLS

- Strong knowledge of GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA, HIPAA, and global privacy principles.
- Understanding of ISO/IEC 27701 and ISO/IEC 27001.
- Hands-on knowledge of DPIAs, privacy risk assessments, RoPA, DSRs, and privacy audits.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong understanding of business processes and data flows.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in Data Privacy, Compliance, GRC, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with privacy frameworks, regulations, and operational privacy processes.
- Experience in drafting and implementing privacy policies, notices, and procedures.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- GDPR / Data Privacy Certification
- DPDPA Certification
- ISO/IEC 27701
- HIPAA or other relevant privacy certifications

Pay: ₹562,000.00 - ₹1,060,000.00 per year
