Job Summary

The QA / Test Automation Engineer (Azure) – L2 is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks and quality assurance processes for cloud-native applications hosted on Microsoft Azure. The role requires strong expertise in test automation, CI/CD integration, Azure services, and quality engineering practices. The engineer will act as a technical SME, driving test strategy, automation adoption, and continuous quality improvements across development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, and cloud-based applications. Create automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing. Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, API, performance, and end-to-end test suites. Collaborate with developers, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to define test strategies and quality gates. Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams for timely resolution. Ensure quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. Monitor test execution, analyze results, and generate quality metrics and reports.

Skill Requirements

4 to 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.



Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks. Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, and CI/CD implementation. Robust understanding of API testing using Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or similar tools. Experience testing cloud-native applications deployed on Microsoft Azure. Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps Test Plans, Jira, or ALM. Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies. Experience in performance and load testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalent tools. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Other Requirements

Azure certification such as Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400). Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow. Knowledge of containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to security testing, vulnerability assessment, and DevSecOps practices. Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent test automation platforms. Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Datadog, or Dynatrace. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep). Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud transformation programs.
