Position: Fabric Coordinator / Fabric Merchandiser – Denim

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Fabric Coordinator / Fabric Merchandiser who will manage the complete fabric coordination process for denim, starting from fabric sample sourcing and approval through bulk fabric ordering, supplier follow-up, delivery coordination and fabric stock management.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and coordinate denim fabric samples as per design and production requirements.
- Coordinate with fabric suppliers, mills and vendors for sample development.
- Follow up for sample approvals, fabric quality, specifications, pricing and availability.
- Once the fabric is approved, coordinate and place the bulk fabric order as per requirement.
- Follow up with suppliers regularly for bulk production, dispatch and delivery timelines.
- Ensure the required fabric is received on time as per production schedule.
- Maintain complete records of fabric samples, approved qualities, suppliers, rates and orders.
- Maintain a fabric order tracker showing order quantity, received quantity, balance quantity, supplier and expected delivery date.
- Coordinate with the production team regarding fabric requirements and shortages.
- Regularly follow up on laundry/washing unit stock and maintain proper records of fabric sent for washing/laundry and fabric received back.
- Track opening stock, inward, outward, balance stock and pending fabric at the laundry/washing unit.
- Ensure there is no unnecessary fabric shortage or excess stock.




- Coordinate with the laundry/washing vendor for pending quantities, delays and dispatches.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliation between company records and physical stock.
- Immediately highlight any shortage, excess, mismatch, delay or quality issue to the concerned manager.
- Maintain daily/weekly reports for fabric orders, pending orders, supplier follow-ups and laundry stock.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Stores, Quality and Accounts wherever required.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure all fabric-related records are updated in Excel/ERP./ Logic

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of denim fabrics and garment manufacturing.
- Understanding of fabric qualities, GSM, composition, width, shrinkage and basic quality parameters.
- Strong vendor/supplier follow-up skills.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong MS Excel / Logic Software knowledge for maintaining trackers and stock records.
- Good coordination and follow-up ability.
- Robust attention to detail.
- Ability to independently track multiple fabric orders simultaneously.
- Candidate should be proactive and responsible for timely closure of pending fabric requirements.

Preferred Candidate

- 2–5 years of experience in denim/fabric sourcing, fabric merchandising, garment manufacturing or textile procurement.
- Logic Software
- Experience dealing with fabric suppliers/mills will be preferred.
- Experience handling fabric stock and laundry/washing unit coordination will be an advantage.
- Candidates with denim garment manufacturing experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
