Eligibility Criteria

- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. Nursing in Community Health Nursing from an INC-recognized institution. (Ph.D. in Nursing is desirable).
- Regulatory Registration: Active registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM) with the State Nursing Registration Council.
- Norms Compliance: Qualifications, teaching experience, and eligibility strictly as per applicable INC (Indian Nursing Council) and university norms.
- Academic Record: Strong academic background throughout undergraduate and postgraduate education with good standing.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of teaching experience after M.Sc. Nursing as a Lecturer / Assistant Professor in a recognized nursing college. (Note: As per INC norms, M.Sc. Nursing with 3 years of teaching experience is required for Assistant Professor).

Key Responsibilities1. Academic & Instructional Delivery

- Plan, organize, and execute theoretical lectures, rural/urban field demonstrations, and practical sessions for B.Sc. Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing students.
- Develop and update course syllabi, lesson plans, unit frameworks, and field evaluation rubrics in line with university guidelines.
- Conduct interactive lectures, community-based teaching, and health simulation sessions using up-to-date audio-visual aids and digital learning tools.
- Maintain a structured, disciplined, and inclusive academic environment conducive to community-focused learning.

2. Community Field Supervision & Clinical Practice

- Supervise student field postings in Rural Health Training Centers (RHTC), Urban Health Training Centers (UHTC), Primary Health Centers (PHC), Community Health Centers (CHC), and sub-centers.
- Guide students in home visits, community health assessments, family nursing care planning, epidemiologic investigations, and school health programs.
- Oversee community health surveys, family case presentations, health education exhibitions, and village-level immunizations/health camps.
- Ensure adherence to environmental sanitation standards,



infection control, ethical practices, and community safety guidelines during field visits.

3. Student Mentorship & Engagement

- Act as an academic mentor and counselor, offering guidance on studies, community clinical skill development, and career pathways in public health nursing.
- Supervise undergraduate (B.Sc. Nursing) students in their community research projects, field studies, and epidemiological surveys.
- Encourage student participation in national health day celebrations, debates, health awareness rallies, street plays (Nukkad Natak), and academic competitions.
- Address and resolve students' academic, field posting, or general concerns in a supportive and constructive manner.

4. Research, Publications & Academics

- Initiate and guide nursing research in public health, epidemiology, maternal and child health, communicable diseases, and preventive healthcare practices.
- Prepare and publish research papers in indexed, peer-reviewed nursing and public health journals.
- Participate in and organize state/national level Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programs, workshops, seminars, and public health conferences.
- Assist in preparing documentation, reports, and self-study reports for INC, State Nursing Council, and university accreditation visits (e.g., NAAC).

5. Administrative & Institutional Contribution

- Conduct internal assessments, evaluate examination answer scripts, and submit timely student performance reports.
- Assist the Principal and HOD in community posting roster planning, transportation scheduling for field visits, and departmental administrative activities.
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with local health authorities, Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), Gram Panchayats, college administration, students, and parents.
- Participate in college committees, admission drives, cultural events, and health community drives assigned by the management.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
