Position Description/Major Responsibilities: · Maintain and develop new features in any of the Teradata database groups (server or client) · Ability to understand requirement specifications or design documents and translate the same to working code · Ability to think creatively to solve complex computer problems by providing design / code alternates · Have strong analytical skills Essential Skills: · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer Science · 3 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in R&D; based teams / companies · Advanced programming knowledge using “C/C++” language · Development exposure on Linux platform · Strong debugging skills & usage of tools (GDB, Eclipse) · Experience in using the correct Data Structures / Algorithms to solve the problems Nice to have Skills: · Should have the ability to understand, and work with, complex massively parallel software. · Understanding of RDBMS concepts. · SQL knowledge · Flair for research to solve complex problems Valuable verbal and written communication skills
