We are looking for an experienced AWS Backend / Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, AWS cloud-native services, and Generative AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and developing scalable, event-driven applications and microservices on AWS, along with practical exposure to Amazon Bedrock, prompt engineering, and vector search using Amazon OpenSearch.

The engineer will work closely with architects, product owners, developers, and other cross-functional teams to design, build, integrate, and support reliable cloud-native solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can independently take a requirement from technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support. The candidate should be comfortable working across traditional AWS application development as well as emerging Generative AI/RAG use cases, and should demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.

2. Build cloud-native and serverless applications using AWS services and established architecture patterns.

3. Design and implement event-driven and asynchronous architectures using Amazon SQS and SNS.

4. Develop serverless workloads using AWS Lambda.

5. Build and orchestrate business workflows using AWS Step Functions.

6. Develop and deploy containerized microservices using Amazon ECS.

7. Design and integrate data persistence solutions using Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon RDS.

8. Apply appropriate data modeling, indexing, caching, and performance optimization techniques.

9. Develop REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.

10. Implement appropriate error handling, retry mechanisms, dead-letter queues, logging, monitoring, and observability.

11. Develop Generative AI capabilities using Amazon Bedrock and foundation models/LLMs.

12. Design, test, and optimize prompts and prompt templates for GenAI use cases.

13. Implement embeddings, semantic search, vector search, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns.

14. Build vector-search solutions using Amazon OpenSearch / OpenSearch Serverless.

15. Integrate enterprise data sources with LLM-based applications while considering security, privacy, and access controls.

16. Follow AWS security best practices, including IAM roles/policies, least-privilege access, encryption, secrets management, and secure API design.

17. Troubleshoot application, integration, and AWS infrastructure issues across development and production environments.

18. Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and engineering best practices.

19. Develop automated unit and integration tests and support CI/CD-based deployment processes.

20. Create and maintain technical documentation,



architecture diagrams, API documentation, and operational runbooks.

21. Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, QA, security, product, and business teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

1. Strong hands-on development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

2. Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed application design.

21. Understanding of prompt engineering and prompt optimization techniques.

22. Experience working with foundation models and model APIs.

23. Understanding of embeddings, vector databases, semantic similarity, and vector search.

24. Experience implementing or supporting RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions.

25. Experience using Amazon OpenSearch for vector/semantic search.

26. Understanding of LLM considerations such as hallucination, grounding, context management, token usage, latency, and cost.

27. Familiarity with responsible AI, security, privacy, and guardrails for enterprise GenAI applications is preferred.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.

2. Experience building enterprise-grade microservices and distributed systems.

1. Familiarity with API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, CloudWatch, Cognito, KMS, Secrets Manager, and other AWS services.

2. Experience with automated testing frameworks for Node.js/TypeScript applications.

3. Experience with application performance monitoring and troubleshooting distributed applications.

4. AWS certification or equivalent practical AWS experience is a plus.
