Job Overview:
CGI is looking for a skilled Hadoop, PySpark, Python, SQL to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Hadoop, PySpark, Python, SQL. The role requires close collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and performance-driven data applications that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable **data pipelines** using PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, Python, and SQL.
* Develop and optimize **PySpark applications** for large-scale data processing.




* Work with **Hadoop/HDFS and Hive** for distributed data storage and processing.
* Write complex and optimized **SQL queries** for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
* Perform data cleansing, transformation, aggregation, and validation.
* Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and performance issues.
* Participate in code reviews and follow established coding and development standards.
* Use **GitHub** for source-code management, version control, branching, and collaboration.
* Work closely with Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and other engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
* Follow banking-domain data security, compliance, and governance standards.
* Support production deployments, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of data pipelines.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Hands-on experience in **Data Engineering**.
* Strong programming and problem-solving skills in **Python and PySpark**.
* Strong SQL skills with experience handling large datasets.
* Practical experience with **Hadoop and Hive**.
* Valuable understanding of distributed data processing concepts.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.




* Ability to work effectively in a **Banking/Financial Services delivery environment**.
