Key Responsibilities
Design and implement DB2 LUW database architectures for enterprise workloads.
Set up and configure DB2 LUW on Azure (IaaS).
Lead JDs from DB2 on AIX to DB2 LUW and Azure.
Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and optimization.
Define backup, recovery, and high‑availability solutions (HADR).
Ensure database security, compliance, and operational governance.
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to support delivery.
Required Skills
Robust hands‑on experience with IBM DB2 (AIX & LUW).
Proven experience migrating DB2 from AIX → Linux (LUW) and/or cloud.
Experience deploying and managing DB2 on Azure Virtual Machines.
Skills in performance tuning, SQL optimization, and capacity planning.
Knowledge of Azure services (VMs, Storage, Backup, ASR, Monitoring).
Scripting experience (Shell, PowerShell, or Python).
