Role Description This is a full-time Registered Nurse role based in Bhandup.. The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care to women, newborns, and pediatric patients, including assessing health status, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate clinical records. Responsibilities include supporting obstetric and gynecological procedures, assisting in labor and delivery, postnatal care, and neonatal care in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
The role involves educating patients and families on care plans, post-discharge instructions, and health promotion, while adhering to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and safety guidelines. The nurse will also participate in clinical rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing qualification (GNM/ANM) and current registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, maternity, neonatal, or pediatric care, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation skills.
- Knowledge of infection control practices, emergency response protocols, and basic life support (BLS); advanced life support (ACLS/NNF) is an advantage.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Clear, compassionate communication skills and the ability to counsel and educate patients and families.
- Comfort with using hospital information systems and electronic medical records.
- Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory patient care and continuous learning; prior experience in a women and childcare hospital is a plus.
