Our consulting client is looking for a QMS – Senior Engineer to support and maintain the Quality Management System and ensure compliance with applicable automotive quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant QMS/Quality experience within the automotive or auto-components industry, along with strong practical knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality tools.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the company's Quality Management System.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements.
- Handle QMS documentation, procedures, records and quality-related processes.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Work on CAPA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate with production, engineering and other teams on quality-related issues.
- Ensure proper implementation of quality procedures across the organization.
- Monitor and follow up on non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA and other automotive quality processes.
Required Skills / What You Bring
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in QMS/Quality.
- Automotive or auto-components industry experience is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of IATF 16949 is mandatory.
- Practical knowledge of automotive quality tools, including:
- APQP
- PPAP
- FMEA
- 8D
- CAPA
- Root Cause Analysis
- Experience in handling audits and QMS documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering or a related field.
- Candidates should have good working knowledge of IATF 16949. Certification in IATF is an advantage.
