Marine Insight is looking for a News Writer to cover developments across the global maritime and shipping industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and write accurate, timely, and engaging maritime news stories.
- Track breaking news related to shipping, ports, vessels, maritime accidents, regulations, defence, trade, logistics, and the wider maritime industry.
- Verify facts using reliable and preferably primary sources before publication.
- Rewrite and develop stories from press releases, official statements, reports, and international news sources without copying.
- Write clear, concise headlines and news articles suitable for MarineInsight.com.
- Follow Marine Insight's editorial style, SEO guidelines, and publishing standards.
- Identify important maritime stories and emerging topics independently.
- Update developing stories when new information becomes available.

Requirements





- Solid command of written English and excellent grammar.
- Good news sense and ability to identify what is relevant to maritime professionals.
- Ability to research, fact-check, and work with multiple sources.
- Ability to write quickly without compromising accuracy.
- Familiarity with maritime, shipping, logistics, ports, or international trade is preferred.
- Previous experience in digital journalism, news writing, or content writing is an advantage.

What We Are Looking For

Someone who can find the story, verify it, understand why it matters, and explain it clearly—rather than simply rewriting information available elsewhere.
