Durall Systems India Pvt. Ltd. specializes in bespoke window and façade solutions. We are looking for an experienced design professional to lead our façade and window automation design team, ensuring design accuracy, BOQ Cutting list accuracy, quality documentation and timely project deliverables.
Role Overview
The candidate will lead the design team handling façade systems, aluminum windows, doors and window automation systems. The role requires strong expertise in technical design, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, drawing reviews, technical detailing and team management.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage and mentor the façade and window design team.
Review and approve design drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings and technical details.
Prepare and verify BOQs, material take-offs, quantity calculations and hardware schedules.
Ensure accuracy in dimensions, specifications, quantities, material selection and costing inputs.
Develop and review technical drawings for aluminium windows, doors, glazing and automated window systems.
Coordinate design requirements with architects, consultants, estimation, procurement, production and project execution teams.
Review architectural drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies, design gaps and potential execution issues.
Ensure design feasibility, material optimisation and adherence to project specifications.
Manage drawing revisions, technical submissions, design documentation and project deadlines.
Establish design review procedures and quality checks to minimise errors, rework and material wastage.
Support estimation and commercial teams with accurate technical information and BOQ clarifications.
Monitor team productivity, workload allocation and timely completion of design deliverables.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
7–12 years of relevant experience in façade design, aluminium windows and doors, glazing or window automation design.
Proven experience in leading a design team.
Strong understanding of technical drawings, BOQs, quantity take-offs, material specifications and hardware schedules.
Experience reviewing drawings for dimensional and technical accuracy.
Good knowledge of aluminium profiles, glass specifications, window hardware and automated window system design.
Strong coordination, analytical, problem-solving and team management skills.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing interpretation.
Expertise in BOQ preparation, quantity estimation and material take-offs.
Knowledge of shop drawings, fabrication drawings and installation details.
Understanding of aluminium window and door systems, façade detailing and glazing.
Knowledge of window automation system design and integration requirements.
Experience in drawing review, design validation and documentation control.
Proficiency in MS Excel for BOQ preparation, quantity calculations and reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a design leader who can manage a team, ensure technical and BOQ accuracy, minimise design errors, improve design processes and coordinate effectively with estimation, production and project teams. This is primarily a design management and technical review role, not an automation technician position.
Compensation
₹10–14 LPA, negotiation possible as per CTC depending on experience and relevant expertise.
