Help Little Artists Build a Winning Team
Bring structure, care and energy to a creative workplace.
Little Artists is a Singapore-based Fine Arts & Design academy with over 30 years of experience nurturing young artists.
We are a close-knit team of mainly teachers, supported by a small management team.
We are looking for an experienced, warm and practical HR professional based in India who enjoys personally recruiting, training, coaching and developing employees, while keeping everyday HR operations accurate and reliable.
From an applicant's first conversation with Little Artists through their induction, continued learning and performance, you will help us build a capable, happy and accountable team.
This is a hands-on execution role. We need someone who enjoys doing the work personally, not simply advising management, coordinating activities or supervising others.
What You Will Personally Do
1. Recruitment & Hiring
- Personally source, screen, interview and evaluate candidates for teaching, creative, customer-facing and operational positions.
- Prepare targeted job advertisements and effective screening questions.
- Assess candidates' capabilities, experience and suitability through interviews and practical assessments.
- Maintain recruitment pipelines and follow up with candidates through the hiring process.
- Work with management to improve hiring quality and complete recruitment efficiently.
2. Employee Training & Hands-On Coaching
This is equally important as recruitment.
- Identify employee knowledge, skills, communication and workplace-performance gaps.
- Personally design, prepare and deliver practical employee training.
- Create training materials, demonstrations, checklists, manuals and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct induction, customer-service, communication, workplace-process and professional-standards training.
- Directly coach employees who need additional guidance or improvement.
- Demonstrate correct procedures, observe employee work, provide constructive feedback and guide practice.
- Follow up to ensure employees apply what they have learned and improve their performance.
- Work with teaching managers and subject experts on specialist artistic and technical development.
3. Productivity & Performance Improvement
- Work with management to establish clear responsibilities,
expectations and practical performance measures.
- Identify recurring mistakes, productivity concerns and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct constructive employee feedback and coaching conversations.
- Support structured performance improvement plans and track progress.
- Help employees become more confident, capable, productive and accountable.
- Keep management informed of performance concerns, improvements and outstanding issues.
4. Onboarding & Induction
- Personally manage employee joining formalities, orientation and HR induction.
- Prepare onboarding checklists, induction schedules and training materials.
- Explain company policies, procedures, responsibilities and workplace expectations.
- Coordinate specialist job-specific induction with relevant managers.
- Follow up with current employees during their first weeks and probation to support their integration and development.
5. HR Operations & Administration
- Prepare offer letters, employment contracts and routine HR documentation using approved terms and templates.
- Maintain accurate employee records, leave balances and attendance information.
- Prepare and verify monthly payroll inputs and salary-related documentation for management approval and processing.
- Coordinate employee confirmations, resignations, handovers and exit formalities.
- Keep employee information confidential, organized and up to date.
- Maintain simple HR trackers, checklists and reliable administrative processes.
- Complete routine HR tasks accurately and on time.
6. HR Systems, Ownership & Follow-Through
- Develop straightforward HR processes appropriate for a small organization.
- Maintain clear recruitment, training, onboarding and performance records.
- Provide management with concise progress updates and practical recommendations.
- Take initiative, resolve problems and follow through independently without repeated reminders.
What You Must Bring
- At least 4 years of relevant professional HR experience, with substantial hands-on responsibilities.
- Proven experience personally sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates.
- Actual experience personally creating and delivering employee training, not merely coordinating training sessions.
- Direct experience coaching employees and helping improve their work performance.
- Working knowledge of employee onboarding,
offers, employment contracts, leave administration, payroll inputs and exits.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Confidence conducting live online interviews, training and coaching sessions.
- Good spreadsheet, documentation and online collaboration skills.
- Excellent organization, discretion, initiative and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently from India during the scheduled Singapore business hours, with reliable internet and a suitable private work environment.
Experience in a small or medium-sized organization, education, training or another service-focused business would be an advantage.
Who Will Thrive at Little Artists?
You are a practical, proactive and people-focused HR professional who genuinely enjoys helping others learn, develop and perform well.
You combine warmth and empathy with clear standards, ownership and accountability.
You are comfortable switching between recruiting a teacher, conducting an induction, coaching an employee, following up on performance and preparing employment documentation.
You enjoy taking responsibility and completing the work yourself.
Important: This position is unlikely to suit candidates whose experience is mainly limited to recruitment sourcing, training coordination without personal delivery, payroll processing alone, or high-level HR advisory work without hands-on execution.
What We Offer
- Full-time, work-from-home opportunity based in India.
- Base monthly salary of ₹40,000–₹50,000, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated capability.
- Friday and Saturday as weekly days off.
- Direct collaboration with the leadership of an established Singapore-based art academy.
- Meaningful ownership of recruitment, employee training, coaching and HR operations.
- Opportunity to help build a supportive, well-organized and high-performing creative team.

We are particularly interested in specific examples of employees you have personally recruited, training you have personally delivered and employees you have directly coached.
