Medical Representative (MR) – Roles & Responsibilities

- Promote and detail pharmaceutical products to doctors, hospitals, and healthcare professionals.
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Make regular visits to doctors, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, and chemists.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with doctors and healthcare professionals.
- Explain product features, benefits, dosage information, and approved indications accurately.
- Generate prescriptions and increase product/brand awareness in the assigned territory.
- Manage and maintain relationships with stockists, distributors, and retailers.
- Ensure proper product availability and stock movement in the territory.
- Conduct regular doctor calls and follow-up visits as per the company plan.
- Organize and participate in CME programs, doctor meetings, and promotional activities.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotional activities, and market trends.
- Submit daily call reports, sales reports, and expense reports on time.
- Plan daily routes and effectively manage the assigned territory.
- Collect market feedback and communicate customer/doctor requirements to the sales manager.
- Follow company policies and maintain ethical and compliant pharmaceutical promotion.
- Attend regular product training and sales meetings.




- Work closely with the Area Sales Manager to achieve territory and business objectives.

Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Science, or Business/Marketing.
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc / M.Sc candidates may be preferred depending on the company.
- 0–3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience; freshers may be considered for entry-level MR positions.
- Previous experience as a Medical Representative is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
