Job Purpose

To ensure the smooth and effective operation of electrical and mechanical equipment, production machinery, and utility systems by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and breakdown repairs in a food manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain electrical panels, wiring, sensors, switches, contactors, relays, and motor control systems.
- Inspect and maintain food processing, frozen food, and packaging machinery.
- Identify equipment faults and minimize machine downtime through timely corrective action.
- Conduct regular inspections, lubrication, tightening, alignment, and replacement of worn-out parts.
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance checklists.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure machinery availability and smooth production operations.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and permit-to-work requirements wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with food safety,



hygiene, and plant safety standards.
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
- Monitor spare parts availability and inform the Maintenance Head about repair and replacement requirements.

Required Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing or FMCG company.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and industrial troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, machine breakdown handling, and safety practices.
- Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns.

Required Skills

- Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis.

- Knowledge of motors, pumps, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
- Problem-solving and teamwork.
- Maintenance documentation and reporting.
- Strong focus on safety, hygiene, and equipment reliability.

Maintenance Manager

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
