Job Summary

Kargeen Restaurant is looking for a skilled and experienced Tandoor Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in traditional tandoor cooking and be able to prepare high-quality kebabs, breads, and tandoor specialties with consistent taste, texture, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoor dishes according to restaurant standards.
- Prepare and marinate chicken, meat, seafood, and other ingredients for tandoor cooking.
- Prepare different varieties of Indian breads such as Naan, Roti, Tandoori Roti, and related items.
- Operate and maintain the tandoor safely and efficiently.
- Ensure consistent taste, texture, portion size, and presentation.
- Prepare mise en place for the tandoor section before service.
- Monitor cooking temperatures and cooking times.
- Maintain proper food storage and handling procedures.
- Ensure freshness and quality of all ingredients.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain portion control.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the tandoor section and equipment.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.




- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service.
- Handle high-volume orders efficiently during peak service.
- Assist junior kitchen staff with tandoor preparation and cooking techniques when required.

Requirements

- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Tandoor Cook.
- Strong knowledge of Indian tandoor cuisine.
- Experience preparing kebabs, tikka, tandoori dishes, and Indian breads.
- Good knowledge of marination and tandoor cooking techniques.
- Ability to maintain consistency during high-volume restaurant service.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable working around high temperatures.
- Hardworking, punctual, and disciplined.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
