Key Responsibilities:

- Assist consultants in the day-to-day clinical management of patients under supervision.
- Take and document patient history, presenting complaints, and relevant clinical information.
- Perform basic assessment and record vital signs as required.
- Assist consultants during inpatient rounds.
- Prepare patients and relevant records before consultant rounds.
- Follow up on doctors' orders and ensure timely implementation by the concerned departments.
- Coordinate investigations such as laboratory tests, radiology, ECG, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Follow up investigation reports and bring abnormal/critical findings to the consultant's attention promptly.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining patient case sheets, progress notes, and clinical records.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of clinical information in HIS/EMR and patient files.
- Monitor patients as instructed and promptly report any change in clinical condition to the treating doctor.
- Coordinate specialist opinions and consultations as advised by the treating physician.
- Assist in admission, transfer, referral, and discharge-related clinical coordination.




- Support preparation and completion of discharge summaries and related clinical documentation.
- Explain routine instructions and treatment-related information to patients/attendants as directed by the consultant.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, privacy, dignity, and professional communication at all times.
- Coordinate with Nursing, Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Billing, Medical Records, and other departments for smooth patient care.
- Assist in medication reconciliation and follow up on medication-related instructions as directed by the physician.
- Ensure timely escalation of emergencies, deterioration, critical reports, or other patient-safety concerns to the treating physician.
- Assist in maintaining clinical registers, checklists, consent forms, and other required records.
- Follow infection prevention and control practices, patient identification protocols, and other hospital safety procedures.
