Research Analyst Intern – AI Visibility Operations

About the Role

Digital Visibility Concepts is looking for a Research Analyst Intern to join our Report Department.

This is a hands-on role involving AI Search research, data collection, screenshot documentation, data verification, Python scripts, and quality assurance. You will work with AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Claude, and Gemini to research how local businesses appear in AI-generated search results.

Training will be provided on our internal processes, scripts, and data pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct AI Search research using ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Claude, and Gemini
- Run predefined local-business questions and capture accurate screenshots
- Ensure searches are conducted using fresh chats, correct locations, and the required search settings
- Record businesses mentioned in AI responses, their order, and whether the target business is included
- Organize and name screenshots according to company standards
- Maintain research spreadsheets accurately using Excel/CSV
- Verify business information through official business websites, including business name, owner name, address, and phone number
- Review research batches for duplicate, incorrect, or reused screenshots and incorrect questions
- Run Python scripts and data pipelines using provided checklists
- Work with lead lists, website scraping, question generation, and document-building processes




- Test scripts on small samples and report errors or unexpected results
- Prepare research sets containing screenshots from multiple AI search platforms
- Ensure every claim in review material is supported by the corresponding screenshot
- Provide a short daily progress update to the Tech Lead

Requirements

- Student or recent graduate in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of Python
- Ability to read and edit simple Python scripts
- Basic command-line knowledge
- Comfortable working with Excel and CSV files
- Ability to understand basic error messages and troubleshoot simple issues
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Mode
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to verify information against the original source rather than making assumptions
- Positive written English
- Reliable, organized, and willing to learn

Good to Have

- Pandas
- Web scraping or APIs
- OCR or PDF tools
- Basic SEO or research experience
- Experience using AI assistants
- Basic Git knowledge
