Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced DCS Operator to monitor and control chemical plant operations through a Distributed Control System (DCS). The candidate should have strong technical knowledge of process control, plant monitoring, operating parameters, and industrial safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor chemical plant processes through the DCS control room.
- Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, level, and other critical operating conditions.
- Maintain process parameters within approved operating limits and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor alarms, identify process deviations, and take appropriate corrective actions as per established procedures.
- Coordinate with field operators and production teams for smooth plant operations.
- Monitor reactors, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and other process equipment, as applicable to the plant.
- Follow startup, shutdown, and emergency operating procedures.
- Maintain shift logs, production records, and process-related documentation.
- Identify abnormal operating conditions and immediately report critical issues to the shift in-charge.
- Follow plant safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, PPE requirements, and emergency response protocols.
- Coordinate with maintenance and instrumentation teams during troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.





Required Technical Skills

- Hands-on experience operating DCS systems in a chemical or process industry.
- Knowledge of process control, instrumentation, and process flow diagrams (PFDs).
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs; (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Understanding of process parameters, control loops, alarms, interlocks, and trip systems.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, reactors, pipelines, and other chemical plant equipment.
- Basic troubleshooting knowledge of instrumentation and process abnormalities.
- Understanding of chemical handling, industrial safety, and emergency procedures.
- Familiarity with shift reporting and production documentation.

Educational Qualifications

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
- ITI or relevant technical qualifications may be considered based on hands-on experience and company requirements.

Experience & Candidate Profile

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a DCS Operator in the chemical or process industry.
- Practical experience in control room operations and process monitoring.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Robust observation, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- Safety-conscious, disciplined, and capable of coordinating with field operators.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Pay: ₹9,100.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
