Job Purpose

To provide students with hygienic, nutritious, affordable, and good-quality food in a clean, secure, and comfortable dining environment. Ensure timely food service during college hours while maintaining food safety, quality, and student satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation and Service

- Ensure breakfast, lunch, snacks, and beverages are available according to the approved menu and service schedule.
- Serve food to students in appropriate portions.
- Maintain food quality, freshness, taste, and serving temperature.
- Ensure sufficient food is available during peak lunch and break times.
- Provide vegetarian and non-vegetarian options according to the approved menu, where applicable.

2. Student Hygiene and Food Safety

- Maintain clean food counters, dining tables, chairs, and floors.
- Ensure safe food storage, handling, and serving practices.
- Provide safe drinking water and clean plates, glasses, and cutlery.
- Ensure food waste is collected and disposed of properly.
- Follow applicable food safety requirements and institutional hygiene policies.

3. Student Service and Satisfaction

- Provide polite, prompt, and respectful service to students.
- Maintain orderly queues and prevent overcrowding at serving counters.
- Display menus and prices clearly.




- Collect student feedback and report complaints to the cafeteria manager.
- Accommodate approved dietary needs and food allergies where feasible.

4. Dining Hall Management

- Prepare the dining area before meal service.
- Keep tables and serving areas clean throughout operating hours.
- Ensure sufficient seating and smooth movement of students.
- Clean the dining hall after each meal service.

5. Food Availability and Waste Control

- Estimate food requirements based on student attendance and expected demand.
- Monitor food consumption and replenish serving counters as needed.
- Minimise food wastage while ensuring sufficient portions are available.
- Maintain records of meals served, leftover food, and student feedback.

Expected Service Standards

- Food served on time and at safe temperatures.
- Clean and hygienic dining facilities.
- Affordable meals with appropriate variety and nutritional balance.
- Courteous service and fair portion sizes.
- Minimal food wastage and prompt resolution of student complaints.

Note : Free Food & Accomodation with weekly off.
