Job Title: Radiology Typist
Department: Radiology
Location: Diagnostics Centre
Key Responsibilities:
- Type and prepare radiology reports based on the radiologist's voice recordings/dictation.
- Accurately transcribe reports for X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, etc.
- Ensure correct spelling, medical terminology, patient details, and report formatting.
- Coordinate with radiologists for report corrections or clarifications.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and medical information.
- Ensure reports are completed and released within the required TAT.
- Upload/update reports in the RIS/HIS/PACS or diagnostic software.
- Maintain proper records and follow departmental SOPs.
- Coordinate with front office and other departments whenever required.
Required Skills:
- Good typing speed and accuracy.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, especially radiology terms.
- Valuable English grammar and communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and MS Office skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple reports.
- Prior experience in a diagnostic centre/hospital is preferred.
Experience: 1–3 years preferred; candidates with relevant hospital/diagnostic experience can be considered.
