- Job Description
- We are looking for a Safety Engineer with experience in construction site safety management, preferably in residential, commercial, or villa projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures, conducting site safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations and project requirements.
- Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures at construction sites.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe working conditions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, project safety standards, and company policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training for workers, supervisors, and contractors.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety helmets, shoes, gloves, safety harnesses, and other protective gear.
- Inspect scaffolding, ladders, lifting equipment, electrical installations, and work-at-height activities.
- Ensure secure working practices during excavation, concreting, structural works, welding, and other construction activities.
- Prepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), risk assessments, and Method Statements for high-risk activities.
- Monitor permit-to-work systems for hot work, confined space entry, work at height, and other hazardous activities, as applicable.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain safety documentation,



inspection reports, incident records, training registers, and statutory compliance records.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and safety teams to resolve safety issues.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, waste management, fire prevention, and emergency preparedness at the project site.
- Conduct emergency drills and ensure the availability of fire extinguishers, first-aid facilities, and emergency response arrangements.
- Monitor compliance with safety requirements across construction activities and ensure timely closure of safety observations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports and update project management on safety performance.
- Requirements
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in construction site safety management.
- Experience in residential, commercial, villa, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a relevant field.
- Additional safety qualifications such as a Diploma in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of construction safety practices, hazard identification, and risk assessment.
- Understanding of work-at-height safety, scaffolding, excavation safety, electrical safety, fire safety, and lifting operations.
- Knowledge of applicable occupational safety regulations and statutory compliance requirements in India.
- Experience in conducting safety audits, toolbox talks, safety training, and incident investigations.
- Good documentation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office for preparing safety reports and maintaining records.
