Senior DevOps Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Manager to lead our DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Automation, and Platform Engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in AWS Cloud, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, automation, security, monitoring, and production operations, along with proven experience managing technical teams.

The candidate will be responsible for building scalable and reliable infrastructure, improving deployment processes, ensuring production stability, and driving DevOps best practices across projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and mentor DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams, ensuring effective delivery and technical growth.

- Define and implement DevOps strategy, processes, standards, and best practices.

- Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure.

- Own and optimize CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, deployment, and release management.

- Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.

- Drive automation across infrastructure provisioning, deployments, monitoring, security, and operational processes.

- Ensure production reliability, availability, scalability, performance, and disaster recovery.

- Establish effective monitoring, logging, alerting,



and incident management processes.

- Work closely with Development, QA, Security, Architecture, and Product teams to improve delivery and operational efficiency.

- Implement cloud security, IAM, compliance, vulnerability management, and access-control best practices.

- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs, resource utilization, and performance.

- Define and maintain backup, disaster recovery, high availability, RTO/RPO, and business continuity strategies.

- Lead troubleshooting of critical production issues and conduct RCA and preventive actions.

- Evaluate and introduce new DevOps tools and technologies to improve automation and engineering productivity.

- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and reports.

- Manage stakeholder communication, project priorities, resource planning, and delivery timelines.

Required Technical Skills

Cloud & Infrastructure

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS

- EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Route 53, ELB/ALB

- CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Auto Scaling

- AWS EKS/ECS and related cloud services

- High Availability, Scalability & Disaster Recovery

DevOps & Automation

- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild

- Containers:



Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS

- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation

- Strong scripting knowledge – Shell/Bash, Python or similar

- Git and source-control management

Monitoring & Operations

- Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK or equivalent monitoring/logging tools

- Incident, problem and change management

- Production support and troubleshooting

- Performance monitoring and capacity planning

Security & Governance

- AWS IAM and security best practices

- Network security, secrets management and vulnerability management

- Cloud security, compliance and governance

- Backup, DR, business continuity and risk management

Leadership & Management

- Proven experience managing DevOps/Cloud/Infrastructure teams.

- Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.

- Excellent stakeholder and cross-functional communication.

- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and production environments.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Ability to drive DevOps transformation and automation initiatives.

Good to Have

- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect

- Experience with GitOps, ArgoCD or Flux

- Experience with Helm and Kubernetes administration

- Exposure to Ansible

- Experience with microservices and distributed systems

- Knowledge of FinOps and AWS cost optimization

- Experience with multi-account AWS environments

- Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure and cloud platforms
