JOB DESCRIPTION - SAFETY OFFICER (MEP)

Work Location: Howrah - Panchla Godown + Project Site Visits to Noamundi, Jharkhand (Tata Steel Site)

Job Title: Safety Officer - Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing (MEP)

1. Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and responsible Safety Officer to oversee MEP safety operations at our Howrah Panchla Godown and project site at Noamundi. The officer will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works are carried out as per industrial safety norms and statutory compliance.

2. Qualification Required:

Mandatory: Diploma / Degree in Industrial Safety (ADIS / PDIS / Fire & Safety)

Accepted Safety Qualifications: ADIS - Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety PDIS - Post Diploma in Industrial Safety Diploma / Degree in Fire & Industrial Safety NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA will be an added advantage

3. Experience Required:

1 to 2 Years of experience as a Safety Officer / Safety Supervisor in Industrial / Warehouse / Construction / Steel Plant environment. Experience in MEP safety will be preferred.

4. Key Roles & Responsibilities: To monitor and ensure all safety parameters are strictly followed at the godown and site for Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing activities. Conduct daily safety inspections of electrical panels,



machinery, plumbing lines, and material handling equipment. Ensure proper use of PPE by all staff and workers. Conduct daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) and safety awareness training for workers. Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take corrective actions immediately. Prepare and maintain daily safety reports, incident/near-miss reports, and safety audit checklists. Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, factory acts, and site safety standards. In case of any accident, conduct investigation and prepare reports with preventive measures. Coordinate with project managers and site in-charge for safety compliance

.5. Skills Required: Good knowledge of Industrial Safety Norms & MEP Safety Knowledge of Safety Documentation & Reporting Good Communication and Leadership Skills Willingness to travel to Noamundi, Jharkhand as per project requirement.

6. Compensation:

Compensation will be around Rs. 30,000 per month and as per industry standards, based on candidate's qualification and experience.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
