Job Description

Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architect with strong expertise in commerce architecture, solution design, integrations, platform governance, and technical leadership. The role will be responsible for defining end-to-end architecture for Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations and enhancements, driving technical design decisions, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and maintainability, and supporting modernization initiatives such as API-first, Headless Commerce, and Composable Commerce. The candidate will work closely with business, product, engineering, and enterprise architecture teams and will provide technical leadership and guidance across distributed development teams. Responsibilities • Define end-to-end solution architecture for Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations and enhancements. • Lead technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and solution design activities across commerce initiatives. • Design scalable storefront, integration, API, and data exchange solutions. • Provide architecture guidance for SFRA, OCAPI, SCAPI, and Headless Commerce implementations. • Define integration strategies across OMS, payment, tax, fulfilment, analytics, and customer experience platforms. • Evaluate and recommend appropriate architecture patterns, frameworks, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform capabilities. • Design and govern multi-site and multi-locale commerce solutions. • Conduct architecture, technical design, and code reviews to ensure adherence to platform standards, security, performance, and maintainability requirements. • Establish development standards, coding practices, architecture principles, and technical governance processes. • Establish and monitor code quality standards using tools such as SonarQube and automated quality gates. • Define and govern CI/CD processes, deployment standards, and release management practices for SFCC applications. • Oversee source code management, branching strategies, deployment automation,



and release processes using Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines. • Support environment management, deployment planning, release readiness reviews, and production rollout activities. • Drive technical root cause analysis and resolution of complex production, integration, and platform-related issues. • Provide technical oversight and guidance on complex development activities, integrations, and modernization initiatives. • Mentor developers, senior developers, and technical leads. • Collaborate with business, product, engineering, and enterprise architecture teams to align technical solutions with business requirements. • Maintain architecture documentation, solution diagrams, technical standards, and governance documentation. • Drive modernization initiatives including API-first, Headless Commerce, and Composable Commerce. • Influence technical direction across distributed teams while balancing business requirements with technical constraints. Must Have • 10+ years of software engineering and commerce platform experience. • 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience. • Strong expertise in SFCC architecture, storefront development, and platform capabilities. • Strong experience with SFRA and SiteGenesis (Legacy Components). • Solid hands-on experience with: o OCAPI o SCAPI o Service Framework o Jobs Framework • Experience designing multi-site and multi-locale commerce architectures. • Solid experience designing enterprise integration architectures. • Strong understanding of API-first architecture principles. • Experience with REST APIs and Web Services. • Experience with payment integrations and enterprise commerce integrations. • Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, security, and reliability. • Experience with CI/CD pipeline design, governance, and release management. • Experience with source code management, branching strategies, and deployment automation. • Experience with Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines. • Experience with Managed Runtime deployments.



• Experience implementing code quality, security, and governance practices in enterprise development environments. • Experience conducting architecture reviews, technical design reviews, and code reviews. • Experience leading technical teams and architecture discussions. • Strong technical leadership and architectural decision-making skills. • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills. • Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer Certification. • Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect Certification. • Experience with SonarQube or equivalent code quality tools. Good to Have • Experience with Headless Commerce architecture and implementations. • Experience with Backend for Frontend (BFF) architecture. • Experience with Composable Commerce architecture. • Experience with PWA Kit. • Experience with OMS integrations, preferably Sterling OMS. • Experience with search and merchandising platforms. • Experience with analytics and tagging platforms. • Experience with performance monitoring and observability platforms. • Experience with fraud prevention platforms. • Experience with tax, shipping, and fulfilment integrations. • Experience in retail and omnichannel commerce. • Understanding of AI-enabled commerce architectures and integration patterns. • Experience evaluating AI-powered personalization, search, recommendation, or customer engagement solutions. • Experience with AI-powered commerce and customer experience platforms. • Experience mentoring and coaching technical teams.
