The Soko Store is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to create engaging, high-quality content for our social media and digital marketing channels.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, music, and visual aesthetics who can turn raw footage into compelling videos that capture attention and keep viewers engaged.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit Instagram Reels, Social Media and Marketplace Videos and long form videos.
- Create engaging hooks and maintain strong pacing to improve viewer retention.
- Combine multiple clips into cohesive and compelling stories.
- Use music, sound effects, transitions, and text effectively.
- Ensure smooth, intentional cuts and high-quality output.
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to execute content ideas.
- Stay updated with social media trends and evolving video formats.

Requirements

- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro,



or similar editing software.
- Strong understanding of short form video content and storytelling.
- Positive sense of timing, music, transitions, and visual aesthetics.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- A portfolio showcasing previous video editing work.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience editing content for brands, social media, or digital marketing.
- Familiarity with Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and content retention techniques.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics and colour correction.
