Job Description:

Position Title: Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Quality- Stamping Industry

Department: Quality Assurance

Location: [KIADB Industrial Area – Devanahalli]

Reports To: Plant Head.

Position Summary:

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) - Quality will lead and oversee all quality assurance activities within the stamping manufacturing process. This includes ensuring that all products and processes meet the required quality standards, compliance regulations, and customer specifications. The AGM will work closely with the production, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement in quality performance while managing a team of quality engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

· Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight:

· Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with industry standards (ISO 9001, EHS – +91-XXXXXXXXXX, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 etc.).

· Ensure adherence to quality policies and procedures across all stamping processes, from raw material sourcing to finished product.

· Lead internal and external audits and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Product Quality Assurance:

· Oversee the quality inspection and testing of stamping components and assemblies, ensuring products meet customer and regulatory specifications.

· Collaborate with the production team to identify quality issues and implement solutions in real-time.

· Monitor product quality during production runs and assist in troubleshooting process or product-related issues.

Team Leadership and Development:

· Lead, mentor,



and develop a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians.

· Conduct regular training on quality standards, new techniques, tools, and customer-specific requirements.

· Set clear performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and provide developmental feedback to team members.

Supplier Quality Management:

· Manage supplier quality performance, ensuring that all incoming materials meet established specifications.

· Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues, conduct supplier audits, and ensure a consistent quality supply chain.

· Implement and oversee supplier corrective actions when required.

Continuous Improvement (CI):

· Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to reduce defects, improve process efficiency, and increase customer satisfaction.

· Analyze root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

· Utilize statistical tools (SPC, FMEA, etc.) to monitor and improve process capabilities and performance.

Customer Relations and Support:

· Liaise with customers to resolve quality-related concerns and ensure customer specifications are met.

· Manage customer complaints,



conducting investigations, corrective actions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

· Act as the main point of contact for quality matters in the customer relationship management process.

Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:

· Ensure all products comply with industry regulations, environmental standards, and customer-specific requirements.

· Prepare and maintain documentation for quality audits and certifications.

· Prepare and present detailed quality reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, quality trends, and improvement efforts.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

· Use data-driven methods to monitor and report quality performance metrics, such as defect rates, first pass yield, and customer returns.

· Analyze trends in quality data to identify opportunities for process optimization

Key Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).

· Advanced certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing) are a plus.

Experience:

· Minimum 20 years of experience in quality management within a stamping, automotive, or manufacturing environment, with at least 15 years in a leadership role.

· In-depth knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, and root cause analysis.

· Familiarity with relevant industry standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, TS 16949, etc.).

Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,000,000.00 per year
