Job Title: Head Barista cum Bartender

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic, skilled, and creative Head Barista cum Bartender to take ownership of our complete beverage program at Mira’s. In this dual-leadership role, you will head the coffee bar and mixology operations—crafting specialty espresso beverages, manual brews, artisan mocktails, botanical coolers, and curated beverage pairings. You will also oversee beverage cost control, bar inventory, recipe standardization, and team training to ensure an exceptional guest experience across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Beverage Program Leadership & Menu Development:

· Lead the daily execution of both specialty coffee (espresso, manual brews, latte art) and bar/mixology operations (artisan mocktails, botanical coolers, cold teas, seasonal drinks).

· Conceptualize and introduce innovative seasonal beverage menus, signature syrups, shrubs, infusions, and dessert beverage pairings.

· Standardize precise beverage recipes, portioning guidelines, and presentation garnish standards across hot, cold, and crafted drinks.

· Establish dial-in guidelines and extraction parameters for morning and evening coffee shifts.

2. Bar Operations, Equipment & Hygiene Management:

· Ensure operational readiness, calibration,



and immaculate maintenance of commercial espresso machines, grinders, blenders, draft systems, and bar tools.

· Implement opening, handover, and closing sanitization checklists across the beverage station, speed rails, glassware racks, and refrigeration units.

· Maintain strict bar hygiene, food safety compliance, and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) standards for all bar ingredients and perishables.

3. Inventory Control, Costing & Vendor Management:

· Manage indenting, stock replenishment, and wastage logs for coffee beans, beverage syrups, purées, dairy, plant milks, glassware, and packaging.

· Track beverage cost percentages (pouring cost) and implement portion controls to minimize shrinkage and spoilage.

· Coordinate with coffee roasters, beverage suppliers, and equipment technicians for maintenance schedules and timely replenishment.

4. Staff Training, Mentorship & Guest Engagement:

· Train, mentor, and evaluate baristas, bartenders, and service staff on coffee brewing science, milk texturing, latte art, and mocktail mixing techniques.

· Engage patrons at the bar counter, sharing coffee origins, tasting notes, and customized drink recommendations.

· Support dining floor service during rush hours by coordinating drink ticket pacing with captains and servers.

Qualifications & Skills:





· 3–6 years of experience in specialty coffee and bar operations, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity (Head Barista, Bar Lead, or Mixologist) in premium cafés, upscale casual dining, or boutique hotels.

· Comprehensive expertise in specialty coffee extraction, grinder calibration, manual brew methods (V60, Aeropress), and free-pour latte art.

· Demonstrated skills in mixology, non-alcoholic cocktail crafting, flavor balancing, syrup infusions, and beverage styling.

· Strong understanding of beverage inventory management, stock costing, recipe cards, and equipment upkeep.

· Confident communicator with robust leadership skills to train and guide a junior beverage crew.

· High grooming standards, guest-centric attitude, and readiness to work operational shifts, peak weekends, and festive holidays.
