HR Head – Logistics & Transportation

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HR Head to manage end-to-end human resources operations for a logistics and transportation organization. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in the logistics or transport industry, with hands-on experience in payroll coordination, recruitment, performance management, HR policies, employee relations, and grievance handling.

The role will primarily focus on core HR functions, with administrative responsibilities as a secondary responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Payroll

- Manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure smooth execution of HR processes.
- Oversee payroll processing, attendance, leave management, and employee records.
- Coordinate with finance and payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate salary processing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.

2. Recruitment & Manpower Planning

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for operational, corporate, and management positions.
- Coordinate with departmental heads to understand manpower requirements.
- Ensure timely hiring to support business and workforce requirements.
- Support workforce planning and employee onboarding.

3. Performance Management

- Implement and manage the Performance Management System (PMS).
- Coordinate performance appraisals, employee evaluations,



and review cycles.
- Support managers in setting performance goals and monitoring employee development.

4. HR Policies & Employee Relations

- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns.
- Maintain effective employee relations and support employee engagement.
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies across locations and teams.

5. HR Administration

- Oversee HR documentation, employee files, attendance records, and HR MIS.
- Coordinate administrative activities, facilities, and vendor-related matters as required.
- Support smooth office and operational administration.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Graduate degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA in HR is preferred.
- Approximately 10 years of relevant HR experience.
- Mandatory experience in the logistics, transportation, freight, or supply chain industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, recruitment, PMS, HR policies, and grievance handling.
- Experience managing HR operations for office-based and operational workforces.
- Valuable communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
